John Walsh

John has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting, Marketing and Operations Management and has been in the industry since 1996 when he started to work at the avocado orchard at Simpson Farms in the first year of packing avocados at Goodwood. John is the Chair of Avocados Australia’s Audit and Risk Committee. He previously worked in local government in Bundaberg and Childers as the Manager of Finance and Administration. John is Simpson’s Finance and Marketing Manager, and also co-shares Managing the Packing and Processing Operations.I am just passionate about the product – I love the environment that we work in, both in the field and the packhouses – the fact that it’s dynamic, the people are great and that the industry is progressive. The industry can only go onwards and upwards.
