Milton Bazley

Milton has held the position of CEO since May 2026. Reporting to the board of Avocados Australia, his role is to lead all facets of the organisation and implement plans agreed with the board.

Milton brings more than 35 years of experience across Australian agribusiness and international commodity markets. Raised on a mixed grain and cattle property on the Darling Downs in Queensland, Milton’s connection to agriculture is both personal and professional. His career has spanned raw sugar, rice, coarse grains and tree nuts, underpinned by formal qualifications in Applied Science, Business, and Export Management.

Prior to joining Avocados Australia, Milton served as Chief Executive Officer of Australian Vinegar and as General Manager – International Commodity and Trading at SunRice. He has also held roles with Trade and Investment Queensland, Nut Producers Australia and CSR Limited.

Milton is passionate about… growing our industry for the benefit of all participants. I’m keen to establish export markets and to secure access to new ones. I believe this work is essential for supporting grower returns, particularly in high-volume seasons.
