NQ Avocado Industry & Hort ‘Show Days’ – 9-10 October

Tablelands Horticultural Showcase and Community Event Coming to Tolga !  

🥑✨Join us in Tolga for the very first North Queensland Avocado Industry & Hort ‘Show Days’ on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 October 2025 — bringing together the largest regional network of avocado growers and the broader horticultural industry and community in Australia. 🚩 The 2-day event will offer attendees a chance to meet and network with others involved in the horticulture industry, see a huge range of trade and machinery displays, hear from industry suppliers and find out more about Avocados Australia’s export program. There will also be live entertainment and food and drink stalls. 

📅 Dates: Thursday 9 October & Friday 10 October 2025
📍 Venue: The Pack Centre, 37–39 Albrecht St, Tolga

Gates open/close:
Thursday 9 Oct: Gates open 12:00pm – Gates close 9:00pm 🌙
Friday 10 Oct: Gates open 8:00am – Gates close 5:00pm

🅿️ Event parking will be available in Tony St, just a short 10-minute walk from the main gate. A free shuttle bus will run regularly for those who prefer not to walk. There’s also a loading area near the event gate for convenient drop-offs — just follow the event signs in place.

Entry is a gold coin donation 🪙 to Remote Animal Assistance—and yes, they’ll be onsite with their latest dogs available for adoption. Say hello to their team 🐕 and support a great cause.

This sell-out event is set to be a true celebration of the horticulture industry, bringing together growers, suppliers, families and industry partners from across the region.

🎤 Supporting Program Highlights

There’s plenty happening across both days, so make sure to plan your visit to get the most out of the show.

The NQ Export Regional Forum runs across four sessions — two on Thursday and two on Friday — and will feature expert speakers covering topics including exporting, emerging global trends, and how they impact stronger farm gate returns. Attendees will also hear the latest market access developments and join Q&A panels with marketers currently exporting.

Kicking off Friday morning, don’t miss the Agrichem Breakfast 🍔🥤& Presentation at 8:15am in the Industry Presentation Area. Hosted by Dr Deepak Mathur, International Technical Manager with Agrichem, the session will explore suspension technology in nutrition products.

Also on Friday, the Freshcare Town-Hall Session offers growers an open forum to discuss certification programs with the Freshcare team at 1:30pm.

Across both days, the Industry Video Room will be screening a playlist of recent event and project highlights, including keynote presentations from 2025 Avo Connections:

In addition to all the lucky door prizes that will be given away, there are 3 major prizes ($500-$1000) up for grabs — with vouchers from Mareeba Transport and TGT Agriculture, plus a chainsaw courtesy of Hydralada. Exhibitors will be handing out entry tickets throughout the event, so keep yours handy!
