NQ Avocado “Paddock to Port” Regional Forum 2026

Improving fruit quality and market opportunities to build farm profitability

North Queensland avocado growers and exporters are invited to attend the NQ Avocado “Paddock to Port” Regional Forum 2026 at the Mareeba International Club, a dedicated industry event focused on strengthening fruit quality, improving supply chain performance and unlocking market opportunities.
Attendees will enjoy a morning of practical presentations, industry updates and networking, with complimentary food and beverages provided.

This year’s forum brings together key projects and industry experts to share the latest insights across the avocado supply chain—from orchard practices through to export markets. Growers will gain valuable, practical knowledge to support on-farm decision-making and improve outcomes beyond the farm gate.

The forum will feature presentations from key project teams:

Flora Zhang – Export Market Development (AV23003)
Latest export insights, market opportunities and upcoming initiatives, plus a panel discussion with growers, packers and exporters sharing real-world supply chain experiences.

Geoff Dickinson – Growing Robust Avocados (AV21005)
Why fruit robustness matters, practical orchard strategies, and how to measure and improve resilience using local CQ trial insights.

Andrew Macnish – Serviced Supply Chains II (AM21000)
Understanding export fruit performance, shelf-life prediction tools, and case studies showing how improved handling delivers better quality outcomes.
