Tristate Practical Workshop 2026 – Waikerie – Nutrition & Fruit Quality

Join the AV23010 project team for a practical nutrition and quality management workshop, with the technical support of Dr Stuart Irvine Brown, from Queensland DPI and the ‘Growing Robust Avocados’ project team.
Due to limited spots and the practical nature of the workshop, growers are encouraged to secure your place early!
What you can expect?
- Review of key messages from the 2025 nutrition forum, including optimum timing and application rates
- Managing nitrogen for strong yields and robust fruit
- Results from the Tristate fruit skin nutrient survey – are our fruit robust and are calcium levels adequate?
- Measuring real-time nitrogen and calcium levels in soil with rapid tests, with each participant completing a N and Ca water test
- Understanding soil suction tubes: how they work, when to use them, and how to set them up
- Crop removal rates – how much nutrition is removed when 10 tonnes of fruit are harvested
- When and how to carry out leaf analysis to guide nutrition decisions
