Beekeepers – Join the 2025 COLOSS Survey

The 2025 Australian Colony Loss Survey (COLOSS) is now open. The COLOSS Survey is your chance to inform the beekeeping industry, government and researchers about the biggest challenges you’ve faced in the past year. The COLOSS Survey is completely voluntary and open to anyone who looks after bees in Australia.

Last year, over 1000 beekeepers across Australia took part in the survey and the feedback provided vital information in helping understand the effects of Varroa mite, guided research priorities, refined treatment recommendations and informed honey and pollination-dependent industries.

Data captured from participating beekeepers is considered particularly important as the bulk of existing information is based on overseas experiences and not under Australian conditions.

The survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete, is completely anonymous and is open until 1 November 2025.
