Avocado Levy Update

Avocados Australia has been working with the Australian Government to make changes to the avocado levies to enable the industry to meet its funding commitment towards the Varroa Response Plan.  There are no changes to the total levies payable, just the proportions between the R&D component and the biosecurity component.

Those changes have now been made in the Regulations and the new rates commenced on Tuesday, 1 July 2025.

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has notified levy agents and details on the new levy rates can be found on their website at: https://www.agriculture.gov.au/agriculture-land/farm-food-drought/levies/notices.
