Welcome to our new Communications Manager, Lucy Crook

Lucy replaces Anna Petrou who resigned in February after four years of service with Avocados Australia, due to personal reasons.  We would like to sincerely thank Anna for all of her great work as Communications Manager and wish her the very best for her future endeavors.

About Lucy

Lucy joined Avocados Australia in April 2026 as Communications Manager. She leads the delivery of the industry communications program including our flagship magazine Talking Avocados, Guacamole newsletter, grower and industry notices, and timely industry updates.

With more than ten years’ experience in marketing and communications, Lucy has held roles at QUT’s Science and Engineering Faculty, CSIRO and the Queensland Department of Primary Industries. Her career has focused on translating research into clear, compelling stories that support engagement, collaboration and investment across industry and government.

Lucy is passionate about… bringing meaningful work into the spotlight through creative, highly engaging content across digital channels, print publications and events.
