This week, Australian Avocados hosted a chef masterclass at sAme sAme Restaurant in Brisbane for 40+ chefs, as part Avocados FY26 Foodservice Program (AV25003). The event was designed to educate chefs with new ways to use avocados on menu through a hands-on masterclass and a curated 10-course avocado menu. From avocado fritters, tempura avocado, grilled avocado, avocado mousse and som tum avocado – this event provided an opportunity for Shepard avocados to shine ✨

The night also featured engaging Q&As with Arte and avocado growers, to give chefs deeper insight into the journey of an avocado from orchard to plate and how avocados texture, versatility and flavour can guide menu development.

The food service program – which has been developed to increase avocado usage across key foodservice outlets – including quick service restaurants, cafes, pubs, and clubs – is engaging foodservice professionals through recipe inspiration, educational resources, and provenance and grower stories.

These platforms offer culinary inspiration, cost-saving tips, innovative recipes and more – showcasing how Australian avocados can enhance flavour, boost profitability, and create standout menu moments. The website also features educational content on storage and handling, varietals, nutrition and provenance, helping foodservice professionals get the most from Australian avocados on their menus.
