Middle East Study Tour a success!

Avocados Australia’s Middle East Study Tour explored opportunities in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi & Oman.
The participants had an incredible journey gaining firsthand insights into market opportunities, engaging with key retailers & understanding consumer trends in the region.
During their visit, they explored the fresh produce landscape and met with leading retailers such as Choithrams, Spinneys, Grandiose Hypermarket, and more. Seeing the diverse avocado offerings—from Mexican, African countries, and organic selections—highlighted the competitive landscape and the increasing demand for consistent, premium-quality supply.
Some of the key Takeaways were that:
- Avocado demand continues to grow, with a strong emphasis on quality and consistency.
- The twin-pack “Eat Me” brand from the Netherlands is widely distributed and well-regarded for its reliable quality.
- Finding the right local partner is key to establishing a strong distribution network and ensuring long-term market success.
Our thanks go to the Export Connect team for putting together an excellent study mission program in GCC.
