Australian Avocado’s bold new brand campaign ‘Avo-Can-Do, So Can You’ is now live across all channels, spreading the word about the delicious and nutritious benefits of avocados and their versatility across meal occasions.
Built on the insight that Aussie avocados are the ultimate all-rounder – packed with nutrition, flavour and endless uses – the campaign celebrates Australian Avocados as the can-do fruit that puts you in a can-do frame of mind.
Further to the campaign’s launch across outdoor, retail, digital, and social media, activity is now live across radio and television, running on both traditional and digital platforms to reach the core target audience of main grocery buyers (aged 18+).
- Radio and digital audio advertising: 15” and 30” ads are airing across NOVA and Smooth, complemented by Spotify podcast ads (pre- and mid-roll) and mobile overlay display assets. These audio assets are tactically placed to reach listeners during habitual listening moments including breakfast, afternoon, and drive time across all markets.
- Television: Two 15” TV commercials launched from 20 July, airing across Channel 7, 9, 10 and SBS across Metro 5 throughout July and August to generate mass reach and impact. Peak viewing times have been strategically selected for the ads, including during prime-time news, sport, general entertainment, and food related shows like Masterchef.
- Online Video: Running across both YouTube and Amazon Prime Video, online TV activity will look to reach Australians in high quality video environments. Targeting will be informed by demographic data, interests and purchase intent (food, cooking and kitchen related). Ads will include 15″ pre-roll videos and 6” bumpers.
This new wave of activity builds on the campaign’s integrated marketing approach, reinforcing consistent messaging across multiple touchpoints to keep Australian avocados top of mind for Australian consumers, ultimately driving demand.

The very first North Queensland Avocado Industry & Hort ‘Show Days’ are set to take place on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 October 2025, bringing together the largest regional network of avocado growers and the broader horticultural industry and their partners in Australia. Designed as a vibrant two-day industry gathering, the event offers a unique opportunity for businesses and growers to connect, share knowledge, and explore the latest in horticultural innovation.
With free entry for attendees, the event aims to encourage strong local participation, and will create an enjoyable environment for growers and their staff and families, packers, marketers and their advisors to explore the showcases of products and services directly from industry suppliers. From corporate farming operations to small family-run orchards, the North Queensland avocado industry represents around $175 million in annual production value — and the event will assist growers and their staff and advisors who are actively looking for solutions to support efficiencies and operational improvements.
Trade display bookings are now open, with a range of site options available, including small and large display areas and dedicated spaces for machinery.
Live entertainment, food and drink stalls, and a packed program of industry presentations — including the North Queensland Avocado Export Forum — will ensure a steady stream of visitors and valuable engagement throughout the two days.
Whether you’re a regular industry supplier or looking to expand into the avocado and horticulture space, this event is a great opportunity to build your brand and connect face-to-face with customers. Avocados Australia has been working with the Australian Government to make changes to the avocado levies to enable the industry to meet its funding commitment towards the Varroa Response Plan. There are no changes to the total levies payable, just the proportions between the R&D component and the biosecurity component.
Those changes have now been made in the Regulations and the new rates commenced on Tuesday, 1 July 2025.
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has notified levy agents and details on the new levy rates can be found on their website at: https://www.agriculture.gov.au/agriculture-land/farm-food-drought/levies/notices.

For information go online here: https://www.raa.nsw.gov.au/disaster-assistance/declarations
The package will be available through grants administered by the NSW Rural Assistance Authority that enable eligible primary producers to access up to $75,000 in assistance. Eligible primary producers can apply for grants of up to $75,000 to assist with:
- Clean-up and debris removal
- Repairing damaged infrastructure and equipment
- Restocking and replanting
- Replacing lost or damaged assets
- Restoring operations to pre-disaster levels
These grants are designed to support rapid recovery and help producers return to business as quickly as possible.
Support is available to primary producers in declared disaster areas under AGRN 1212, covering regions impacted by the East Coast flooding in May. Affected Local Government Areas (LGAs) are listed on the NSW Disaster Assistance website.
Primary producers may also be eligible for other DRFA measures, including:
