Avocados Australia welcomes Satendra Kumar

This month Dr Satendra Kumar joined Avocados Australia (AAL) on a contract basis as our Biosecurity Technical expert. He will work closely with AAL’s Biosecurity team and has extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with plant biosecurity issues. He has a passion for biosecurity and gained substantial experience in providing strategic and scientific leadership to state-wide and national pest and disease incursion responses.

Dr Kumar has worked for the NSW Department of Primary Industries, the Department of Agriculture and Food WA and has also lectured in his field overseas. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Horticulture and Plant Protection at The University of Queensland and his PhD in plant pathology/phytopathology at The University of Western Australia.
