Australian Avocados Launch in Thailand!
On 29 July 2025, Avocados Australia officially launched the Australian Avocado season in Thailand with a trade-focused program in Bangkok.
The morning event at Talaad Thai was officiated by Mr Wisarut Srirojanakul (Talaad Thai) and Mdm Thipwadee Suwanying (Australian Trade and Investment Commission) and featured a live cooking demo by Chef Big Phuripat.
In the afternoon, the Networking Workshop & Dinner at The Sukhothai Bangkok welcomed Thai importers, retailers, and food service professionals. Key highlights included:
🥑 Technical insights on handling and post-harvest management by Jodie Campbell (QLD DPI)
🤝 A Growers Forum introducing Australian exporters
🍽️ A culinary demonstration by Chef Martin Blunos featuring Avocado Arancini — showcasing avocado versatility in high-end food service
In the evening, Thai importers, retailers, and food service operators joined the Networking Workshop & Dinner at The Sukhothai Bangkok, with technical insights from Jodie Campbell (QLD DPI) and grower introductions. Chef Martin Blunos closed the evening with an Avocado Arancini showcase.
Australian avocados are known for their clean, creamy texture, consistent quality, and year-round supply — trusted by trade across the region.
