Avocado nutrition key focus at Tristate Grower Regional Forum

The Avocado Industry Extension and Development Project’s Tristate Avocado Grower Regional Forum, held on Wednesday 14 May in Mildura, brought together growers, orchard managers and their teams to hear about the latest trends and tips in managing nutrition and avocado fruit quality. Our thanks go to all who attended, the Extension project team for organising an excellent line-up of speakers, and Cottrells Farm, for hosting the orchard walk.

Best Practice Resource (BPR) users can now access copies of the presentations delivered on the day from the BPR Library HERE – login and look under the “Event Proceedings” heading.

Those who spoke on the day included Steven Falivene (the Extension Project’s Tristate Regional Lead, NSWDPI), Bridie Carr (the Extension Project’s Leader, QDPI), Kym Thiel (Avocados Australia’s Tristate Director), John Tyas (Avocados Australia CEO), Stuart Irvine Brown (QDPI), Simon Newett and Chris Searle (MacAvo Consulting). Everyone in attendance could ask questions directly of the speakers during the round robin session.

The next Regional Forum will be held in Western Australia. See the Agenda & register HERE.
