MONITORING FOR VARROA

Now that Varroa is established in Australia, all hives should be regularly monitored for Varroa. Every detection of Varroa mite must be reported to your state authority.

If Varroa is present in hives, it is important to use a standardised 300-bee sample to determine whether recommended treatment thresholds have been reached.
