WA Avo Chat & Export Regional Forum provide valuable insights

WA Growers and other avocado industry stakeholders came together on Thursday 19 June for two events: Avocados Australia’s WA Avo Chat Breakfast and the WA Export Regional Forum. These events took place the day after the WA Grower Regional Forum, and were held at the Kingsley Motel Hotel in Manjimup.

In the morning those in attendance heard from Avocados Australia’s WA Director, Duncan Wells, CEO John Tyas and Market Development Manager Hayleigh Dawson. Growers asked questions about the current issues impacting them, heard the latest developments and what Avocados Australia is doing to address them.

The Export Regional Forum provided an overview of key exporting insights, and supportive advice and information to assist exporters. The event included a presentation from Austrade. Copies of the Export Regional Forum presentations will be made available from the BPR and links shared to growers in a Grower Notice coming soon.

The Avocado Market Access and Trade Development 2024-29 project (AV23003) has been funded by Hort Innovation using the avocado R&D levy and contributions from the Australian Government. Hort Innovation is the grower-owned, not-for-profit research and development corporation for Australian horticulture.
