Regional Forum – CNSW – Stuarts Point

Soil health focus for Central NSW Regional Forum

Avocados Australia and the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) invite all growers and interested stakeholders to the Central NSW Avocado Regional Forum to hear the latest industry updates and to explore soil health in avocado production.

Dr Nerida Donovan from NSW DPI will talk about how understanding your soil health can lead to improvements in orchard productivity and fruit quality. Growers are asked to bring a sample of topsoil (approximately 1 cup – not mulch) from their own orchards for the practical session. The soil sample should be packaged and labelled clearly in a ziplock sandwich bag please.

Australia industry pre-WAC tour

BOOKINGS HAVE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS TOUR.

An industry tour is being organised for Australian delegates to visit Californian growing areas in the week before the 2019 World Avocado Congress in Columbia.

The tour will run from 17-19 September, with attendees needing to arrive in Los Angeles on 16 September to start early the next day. Click here for the full agenda.

Accommodation, most meals and ground travel during the California tour will be organised as part of the tour package.

Participants will be required to arrange their own flights. We encourage booking with the tour company we have appointed for the California visits, Pulse Travel.
